Children are not immune to experiencing problems with their teeth and gums. About 50% of Australian children have decayed, filled or missing teeth. Regular dental visits are important now and for their future oral health. Identifying any dental issues early on is critical to avoiding more serious problems that may impact in adulthood.
The Children Dental Benefits Scheme (CDBS) is a government funded program which allows eligible children aged 2 – 17, treatment up to the value of $1000 over 2 years. This included a dental examination, cleaning and dental fillings.
